Please see below my professional view about the world in relation to the science of nutrition and food. I hope you find this page informative. It includes many questions that my clients ask me during consultations.
There is no ‘one-size fits all’ for nutrition and food
You may be able to find clothes that are ‘one-size fits all.’ But this does not apply to food and nutrition. Why is this? It’s because we are all different human beings with different heights, weights, ages, gender, genetics, metabolisms and health issues.
And nutrition is a science.
There is a lot of information in the public domain
Yes, there is! There are millions of articles in the press, magazines and in blogs and videos. There are products available to buy in the shops or online. And there are mountains upon mountains of books on nutrition, food and dieting!
But none of the information is 100% suitable for me – or 100% for you - because it simply isn’t tailored for me or for you as individual human beings.
Uncovering the right nutrition and the right foods for you is a journey
The journey involves personal nutritional consultations with a qualified and experienced science nutrition expert, such as myself. The journey must be a combination of nutritional advice, science nutrition testing, a unique nutrition plan, nutritional supplements and regular consultations to evaluate your improving health.
My nutrition plan will be completely different to yours as we are different people.
What could be wrong with my diet?
That is the million-pound question! You may be healthy, unhealthy, in pain, ill, lacking in nutrients, have hormonal imbalances, allergies, skin problems, lack energy, be unable to sleep, be overweight or underweight, tired and stressed. You may think you are eating the wrong foods or think you are eating the right foods, you may be eating too much or too little, or taking supplements which aren’t right for your body.
More seriously, you may have an underlying, undiagnosed health issue that has remained undetected and is preventing you from feeling that way you want to feel.
Without learning more about you and your body, on a scientific level and a personal level, we’ll never know how to resolve any deficiency or to how to optimise your body’s functions and fix your health!
